Can I meet you before I book you?
Absolutely. Please! The last thing I would want is to be a stranger at your wedding. I think you really need to know your photographer before you book. I am always available to meet over coffee, just send me a text or email and I'll get back to you. If you do decide to make a booking, I make sure I meet you at least one more time--I like to have a pre-wedding meeting two weeks prior to discuss your day in detail. If you have decided to book an engagement shoot, we will meet again then.
How do I make a booking?
Bookings can be made by a £100 deposit payable by cheque cash or paypal. This amount will of course come off your final cost.
How do I reserve a date?
You can reserve a date by making a booking. Once booked, your date is reserved and in my calendar. I like to meet with you two weeks prior to get all your final arrangements, and then I always confirm the night before your day, so you have one less thing to worry about in the morning.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due one month prior to your day.
What is your style of photography?
My style, I guess you could say is a mixture of traditional and reportage. I love seeing people relaxed, and take a lot of natural candid shots throughout the day, but I also have a soft spot for good old "wedding" photos, the kind your grandma would remember. I do always make sure I get your posed, formal shots.
What sort of wedding packages do you offer?
Lots! You can look through my basic wedding packages here. And if you don't see one you like you're more than welcome to mix and match one that suits you.
Is it okay to use my own wedding album?
Of course! I always stock a selection my own, which I pick and choose from different little shops throughout the year, so don't worry if you don't have an album, but if you do, by all means I'll fill it with photographs.
Do you do traditional albums?
Yes, I mainly do traditional albums. I always make sure I use the highest quality books, materials and prints in putting them together, too. I keep a selection of albums that I love, that my brides are always welcome to choose from, and my personal collection does change over time, and depending where my travels take me. I like to think this ensures you are getting a truly bespoke service, and that every album is unique. If you already have an album (maybe an early wedding present?) and would like photos fitted to that, I am more than happy to do that too.
Do you do digital albums?
Yes, they are becoming increasingly popular. Digital albums are printed and bound like giant coffee table books, and are a really great option if you are planning to get a few parents' albums made as miniature versions of your main album.
What happens if it rains?
"Scotland's Sunniest City" is somewhat of a misnomer for Dundee. I can shoot rain or shine, but it does rain here, a lot. In our pre-wedding meeting it is essential we have a back up plan if outdoor photographs are on your agenda, and you're worried about getting wet. As for me, I can shoot outdoors, and even in muggy weather. If you can tolerate the weather I can take the photographs :)
What happens if my wedding runs over time?
A wedding running late? In my experience, this is almost guaranteed. Not to worry, I always discuss with you what I will shoot by event, and not by time. So if it's running late, and speeches haven't even started but you'd really really wanted photographs of your toast, I promise I won't run off. Afterall, it's your day, and my job is to do whatever I can to make it wonderful, and I take that responsibility very seriously!
